River and Storm are at their new home. So glad that they're together still! We sent two sets of pups to the same homes and we are planning on keeping Glacier and Tundra! :) It was really hard to choose which one(s) we were going to keep with us, but we really believe that they picked us! We had only planned on keeping one but we're all happy that we have both.
Having a litter of Malamute pups has been a really cool experience and LOTS of work! We don't have any plans to breed another litter, and fairly confident that we'll be satisfied with our decision!
Our 2 puppies that we've raised since birth and our 2 kitties that we kept from the litter we found from the stray cat in our garage will keep us on our toes for the next 10 to 15 years!
Thanks everyone for inquiring on them, following our blog and a huge Thanks to the 2 families that adopted Avalanche, Mystic and River, Storm! I hope the pups bring you as much joy as they brought us in the first 8 to 10 weeks of their lifes!

Their personalities....
Storm is VERY friendly. She loves attention and is mellow about how she gets it, although she does love to be on your lap or next to you. She'd be a great dog for a family with kids because she is so affectionate and gentle. She's gonna be the Mal that gets along with everybody and every animal.
River is also very friendly but she's the one that waits till the you approach her to give her attention. She still loves attention but likes more one on one and isn't into fighting for the attention she desires, she's very patient about it and can occupy herself till it's her turn. She's also very gentle and would be good with kids because of her patience. Both of Rivers ears are standing up right.
They both have first shots and are wormed!

Puppies!!
We got all 5 pups baths from our dirty excursion. A couple did fine, and a couple didn't do so great! LOL
We've been working on them going up and down the stairs. Going up is going pretty good, all except Avalanche (the guy we're keeping) can make it up. They all pretty much roll down the stairs, ( a couple did the first day), and now a few reluctantly go down but do so while yelping! LOL
The pups have been spending their days outside (providing the weather is nice) and coming in at night. It's pretty crazy watching them come in and just going crazy. It must be too warm outside to play because they seem to save all their energy for evening!

This week with Pups
We took the pups camping with us for 3 nights. They did pretty well, got really dirty(they'll experience their first bath soon), only woke us up once at night to go to the bathroom but then had to eat and play for a bit.
A couple of them did great with the traveling and change of environment and a couple of them didn't do so well. We didn't have any accidents in the vehicle and they were quiet when we were moving. No one puked at all but there was other evidence of upsets stomachs! Pictures of the dirty pups to come!

Glacier
Mystic
This is Mystic at 5 1/2 weeks. She has the most people personality! She's very attentive, loves to play with our kids, us, and the other pups. When we come downstairs, she's the first one to be watching and paying attention. When the other pups are yelping or making noise, she's the first one to be checking it out!
Tundra
Tundra is the biggest female, at 5 1/2 weeks, she is the same size as our males and has held comparable with them from the beginning. I think she is going to be the most dominant because when she is placed in the submissive position, it takes her a bit to calm down like it did for her mom. Her mom (Bella) is very good with people because we worked with her when she thought that she was the boss. However, Bella only gets along with our less dominant males. Tundra gets nervous when being held, but loves attention when she's on all 4's.

Details on pups
The pups were born on July 13th, 2010. We have both parents on site. Pups have been raised inside with time spent outside daily now that they're a bit older. Each pup gets individual time each day. We have 5 kids that love to play with the pups, so besides the sharp puppy teeth, they're very kid friendly. We have 2 kittens that have interacted with the pups. Although Malamutes generally don't get along with rodents or other small animals, we're hoping that they will continue to.
They've been trained on the puppy pads and are just starting to get more time outside. They are around 10 pounds at 5 weeks (give or take a pound depending on pup). They're on Eagle Pack Puppy food that they have available to them freely.
They will have their first shots and worming started when they go to their new homes. I will post more details and pictures over time. Thanks for looking!
